Our Office Specialists are a key player in providing clerical support to caseworkers and supervisors at the Child Welfare agency.
We are seeking a Case Management Coordinator (Office Specialist 2) to join our Albany Child Welfare team.
Summary of Duties
As a Case Management Coordinator, you will:
Provide support to field staff, agency staff, foster resource families, providers and the public.
Completing and verifying data entry to ensure all information entered and uploaded into the Child Welfare OR-KIDS information system is correct.
Process records and ensure that all work within the unit complies with state and federal laws.
Cover all reception and phone duties as necessary within the team when needed.
Assist with all duties relating to the fleet vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience in front desk reception duties, showcasing effective communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to explain rules, regulations, and procedures related to a specific program or service to individuals
- Experience with utilizing computers for tasks such as data processing, entry, and verification of detailed information
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients or customers to resolve conflicts and disputes
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and showcase intercultural competency.

Working Conditions
Work Location: Albany Child Welfare Office
Travel: Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and other case related activities. This includes required occasional overnight travel.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM in office (Pacific Time).
This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
