Job Description:
The Associate Engineer, Defense Products is primarily responsible for providing technical support to 3040MX and 4040 MX products related initiatives. The person in this role executes projects under the guidance of the Manager, Defense Products in support of internal and external deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs basic engineering work (limit stacks, force calculations, stress analysis, etc.) in support of assigned projects
- Develops and execute validation plans (analysis and testing)
- Ensures technical specifications are properly captured on new drawings and drawing revisions
- Provide technical guidance within technical decision-making venues and recommendations typically pertaining to component solutions
- Provides support to cross-functional team members and develops deliverables as assigned and in support of Defense Products programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Science degree in Engineering
- Strong communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Person or individual otherwise eligible to be authorized to work with export-controlled items or data [or perform services on military vehicles].
Experience:
- Strong technical skills
- Proficiency with multiple engineering tools
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical system functions (mechanical power, hydraulics, force balance, loading conditions, material stress/strain, etc.)
