Food Service Cafeteria Worker

3.5 Hours per day
Effective with the 2025-26 School Year
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- must have high school diploma (or equivalent)
- must have the ability to work well with others as judged by Food Service Director
- must be physically able to lift minimum of 36 pounds
- must have the strength and dexterity to perform all labor tasks connected with job
- must have the ability to properly prepare food according to USDA standards
- must have successful experience working in food service
- must be self directed and learn required skills for the position
- must have a good attendance record
- must be able to demonstrate basic computer literacy
- must achieve a qualifying score on basic and specific skills test
- must complete all required personnel records
- meets all mandated health requirements
- a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
- must be able to flex working schedules due to early and late lunch scheduling
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:
- must be a positive voice with other staff members at all times
- must be prepared for change, even if it comes at a faster than desired pace
