We are currently seeking a talented post graduate Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Operations team who will be responsible for supporting the operational performance, delivery and improvement of our Rail and Energy products.

With the fast pace of innovations in Camlin, you will look forward to managing multiple projects across the product portfolio and help coordinate team members to achieve our goals. We expect that you will collaborate, share and be ready to learn in a team that partners closely with its internal and external customers in this project-based role.

As a Manufacturing Engineer your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive best in class manufacturing practices into new and existing product design with the support of the MEL and ME.
  • Co-ordinate our skilled Rail manufacturing team with the support of the BUL.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, optimising flow and eliminating waste.
  • Promote and grow our 3S Standard throughout production.
  • Lead new process layout based on lean principles.
  • Represent manufacturing/production early in new product development.
  • Drive productivity and quality improvement within production environment.
  • Work with engineering and procurement to minimise stock wastage.
  • Complete process documentation reviews.  Align with master document control.
  • Identify, design and maintain all Jigs, fixtures and assembly aids within production while highlighting opportunities for improvement. 
  • Own all aspects of process documentation within production.
  • Identify, implement and maintain production equipment servicing and calibration.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience in a demanding technical production assembly environment.
  • Experience of electromechanical product assembly.
  • Experience of leading Lean, Flow, and 3s projects.
  • Experience in new product introduction within a production environment.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principals.
  • Experience of problem-solving tools such as, NCR, RCA, CAPA, 8d.
  • Experience in stock control or inventory reduction projects.
  • Familiar with health and safety regulations.
  • Good IT skills. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related qualification
