NSF is seeking a Specialist II to perform QA functions and foster a collaborative working environment with all laboratory and program staff
Responsibilities
- Independent Internal/Method Auditing including finalizing using the current Oasis system
- Create and Manage Corrective Actions including effectiveness follow-up using the current Oasis system
- Assist in Maintaining and Improving Laboratory Metrics, including Turn around Times
- Create all metrics spreadsheets
- Support External Audits
- Compilation of Data for Management Review including creation of the power point presentation
- Creation of Laboratory Trainings and posting to Catalyst
- Approve Laboratory Investigation
- PT Administration and tracking
- Manage Subcontracting and Acceptance of Manufacturers Data administration
- Revise and combine SOPs using Master Control
- Assist with Labware implementation
- Recognize and Suggest process improvements throughout the laboratory
- Manage Deviations that are the laboratories responsibility
- Manage complaints and associated actions
- Maintain and evaluate Risk and Opportunities
- Support Training and onboarding of new QA staff members
- Communicate professionally both internally in the lab and with program offices.
- Follow all safety and ethics requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physical science or engineering or equivalent experience plus a minimum of three to
- five years of direct laboratory experience with strong technical knowledge and judgement skills.
- 3-5 years QA experience or equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to organize work and maintain workflow in an independent manner.
- Walk in with Knowledge of ISO/IEC Standards 17025, 17065, 17021, TNI 2016
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Internal Auditing Experience
- Knowledge of Conformity Assessment Requirements
