Key Responsibilities

• Table Maintenance
  • Promptly clear, clean, and reset tables between courses and after guest departure.
  • Ensure proper table settings with polished glassware, silverware, and linens.
• Service Support
  • Assist front servers with delivering food and beverages to the table in coordination with service sequence standards.
  • Provide water, bread, and other table accompaniments as directed by the front server or supervisor.
  • Refill beverages as needed to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Dining Room Cleanliness & Organization
  • Maintain spotless dining room floors, service stations, and side work areas.
  • Keep all service areas fully stocked (silverware, glassware, plates, condiments, etc.).
  • Support the team by transporting soiled dishes and glassware to the dishwashing area.
• Guest Interaction
  • Greet members and guests warmly and courteously, offering assistance when appropriate.
  • Anticipate guest needs and communicate effectively with the front server and management team.
• Teamwork & Standards
  • Adhere to the club’s service sequence and grooming standards at all times.
  • Work closely with front servers, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure efficient, polished service.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and training sessions to maintain consistency in service delivery.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain valid California Food Handler Certification (FHC) and Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification or obtain them within the timeframes required by California law. Food Handler Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. RBS Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving experience in a full-service environment, preferably at a fast paced, high-end restaurant, club, or resort.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and efficiency. 
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• General competency with point-of-sale system, Jonas experience preferred.
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  
• Positive attitude with a focus on member/guest satisfaction. 
• Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, and twist. 
• Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain.
• Must be outgoing, friendly, courteous, and patient. 
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policies.
• Must be familiar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements 

• Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 8 hours. As well as sit, squat, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and wipe. 
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 25 - 30 lbs.
• Physical activities include walking, talking, standing, stooping, hearing, seeing, talking, bending, reaching, fingering, feeling, touching, writing, grasping, handling, stretching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and wiping.
• Interaction with all types of people 
• Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders, and back is required.
• Must be able to work outdoors, exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind and rain.
• Works days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends as required.
• Work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distraction conditions.
• Read and write handwritten notes.
