Description

The Back Office Coordinator is a key role to ensure that patients receive the care they need as well as the administrative duties in the office are completed efficiently and accurately. This role involves a strong attention to detail to ensure quality checks on each patient receiving care has a smooth and enjoyable experience.


Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance checks for all patients undergoing procedures at all locations.
  • Collaborate with necessary departments to complete quality assurance checks.
  • Update and create actions in the EMR system to track patient progress and ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Communicate with medical representatives to schedule advanced cases and complete confirmation calls prior to ASC procedures.
  • Assist with benefit verifications and respond to patient inquiries regarding care, finances, or insurance.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize ASC processes and support staff with administrative or scheduling questions/requests.
  • Assist in training new and existing administrative staff on scheduling processes and updates.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience is required
  • EMR experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and follow supervisor and provider’s instructions
  • Works collaboratively with others and is a team player


Physical Requirements

  • Requires the effective use of office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, and printers
  • Ability to sit at computer terminal for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate in an active office environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
