About the Role:
The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Supervisor in the oversight of warehouse operations across all shifts, primarily leading a team in receipt, storage, picking and staging of material entering the facility for eventual use on live repacking/production lines. The Assistant Supervisor will utilize a warehouse management system (SAP) throughout daily activities to manage inventory by material and batch code, at the piece and pallet level(s) as well as for transfers between multiple locations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate workload, monitor and drive efficiencies and performance of team members
- Receipt verification (material code/batch code/quantities/etc.), storage, picking, staging
- Receive material into WMS and record/report any discrepancies on bills of lading (BOL)
- Maintain inventory accuracy and receipts in WMS and enforce proper slotting/rotation
- Plan and execute cycle counts as well as physical inventory counts, when necessary
- Identify, investigate and resolve any/all inventory discrepancies
- Work collaboratively across multiple departments to resolve issues effecting daily tasks
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 to 4+ years’ experience in a high-paced, heavy-volume warehouse environment (food & beverage preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, when necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish (verbal and written required)
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled facility and be on your feet for extended periods
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (stand-up reach lift required)
- Previous experience working with a warehouse management system (SAP experience preferred)
- Ability to work well in a group setting and independently
- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays (when necessary)
- Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while multitasking
- Ability to set priorities for self and team
- Driven and eager to learn and grow in the short-term future
Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
