Overview
The Sales Analytics Manager is a critical cross-functional role responsible for both administering and optimizing our Salesforce platform and delivering actionable sales insights through robust data analysis. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and usability of sales data to support strategic planning, performance tracking, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and business-savvy, with strong Salesforce expertise, a deep understanding of sales metrics, and the ability to turn data into strategic recommendations that drive results.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary administrator for Salesforce.
- Manage platform updates, workflows, customizations, user permissions, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Ensure data integrity through regular audits, clean-ups, and best practices in data hygiene.
- Align and reconcile Salesforce data with ABS (our internal CRM system).
Sales Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and analyze sales data from multiple sources to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key sales performance metrics (KPIs).
- Deliver actionable insights that support decision-making across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Executive teams.
- Monitor sales performance, forecast accuracy, and pipeline health on an ongoing basis.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with sales leadership on strategic planning, goal setting, and territory design.
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and projections to support revenue planning and business growth.
- Leverage data to identify market opportunities and support sales initiatives with quantitative insights.
Process & Systems Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve sales processes using Salesforce and related tools.
- Champion CRM adoption and best practices across the organization.
- Partner with IT and Operations to ensure system integration, reliability, and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure data consistency and alignment.
- Clearly communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster a data-driven culture by empowering team members with tools and training to access and leverage reports.
Market and Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
- Analyze competitive data and market dynamics to identify strengths, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to support competitive positioning and sales effectiveness.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Salesforce Certified Administrator – Required
- Experience with Salesforce-related tools such as Geopointe and Einstein Analytics is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales analytics, Salesforce administration, or a similar data-driven role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
- Proficient in building Salesforce reports and dashboards to visualize and communicate insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for various audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
