Position Purpose-Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

The purpose of this position is to complete tasks and projects as assigned to assist the Compliance team in keeping PRMI compliant with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.  In addition, the Compliance Specialist will work in a team environment to complete large projects by given deadlines as required by a federal/state regulator or PRMI policy. 

Responsibilities/duties/functions/tasks include:

  • Review and analyze disclosures
  • Live loan monitoring
  • Valuation tracking
  • Lock disclosure monitoring
  • Mortgage call report data entry
  • Other Compliance Team assistance
  • Working regular hours in the office on a non-remote basis is an essential function of this position

Qualifications

  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Familiarity with Encompass360, MS Office Suite
  • Strong communications skills
  • Focus on team success

Preferences

  • Experience as a mortgage underwriter, processor, or compliance specialist
  • Employees must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job posting
  • Current employees must be active for a period of no less than six months in their current position or have manager approval for early release based on business needs

Work Requirements

Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting.  To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location).  Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
