Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals that specialize in serving those battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Also specializing in those needing Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to MN State Statutes, code of ethics, insurance requirements, and Northstar’s
policy and procedures.
Maintain Continuing Education requirements to keep license in good standing.
Maintain a minimum of 25 billable hours per week.
Conduct Diagnostic Assessments. Create treatment plans and monitor client progress.
Complete documentation with a focus on quality, compliance, and in a timely manner.
Coordinate client care with necessary support and services in the best interest of the
client, if applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
Master’s Degree or higher education in mental health discipline.
Must be a Licensed Mental Health Profession in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC,
LICSW, or LMFT)—fully licensed or pre-licensed.
Demonstrate competent use of the DSM-V and evidence-based approaches.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and time
management skills. Proficient organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment.
Adept to learning and navigating Electronic Health Record system. Strong computer
skills.
CPR Certification or attain within 30 days of hire (in-house training available).
Must have 2 years of freedom from chemical use problems.
Must pass a drug screen and a State of MN Background Check.
Additional Skills and Experience:
Familiar with Procentive (EHR).
Training or certification in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, etc.
Strong motivational interviewing skills.
Work independently, think critically, and cultivate a solution-focused mindset.
