We are looking for a hard-working, highly motivated individual to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. The Senior Accounting Manager will take ownership of key work streams, contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, and play a critical role in strengthening accounting and financial reporting processes.


The ideal candidate will bring a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, reporting processes, and internal controls. This position is primarily responsible for managing the monthly close process, supporting external audits, and providing leadership and mentorship to the accounting team.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including review of balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger entries, and closing checklists. Ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, tax, and insurance packages prepared for the parent company.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and internal procedures.
  • Manage the intercompany reconciliations and ensure transactions are accounted for across all entities.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast development.
  • Assist with system enhancements, conversions, and reporting to the parent company.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Support external financial statement audits and the annual bank audit by preparing schedules, addressing requests, and resolving inquiries.
  • Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants, by providing training, feedback, and development opportunities while cultivating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years’ of progressive accounting experience including at least 2-5 years in financial reporting within a global manufacturing environment, with emphasis on general ledger, cost accounting, and financial analysis. Public accounting experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general ledger reporting tools. Dynamics 365 experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and disciplined approach to controls and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while driving team performance.
  • Requires long periods of sedentary work.
  • Requires repetitive upper movement – keyboarding and monitor use.
