Mission North is looking for a VP of Digital Strategy and Integrated Communications to lead the scaling and evolution of our integrated communications offerings and amplify the storytelling for some of the most consequential brands of our time. In this pivotal role, you will drive integrated marketing initiatives forward, cultivating strong client relationships, and ensuring we are exceeding client expectations. You will facilitate collaboration between our generalist PR team and specialists in content, creative, and social media to develop and execute campaigns that meet our B2B and B2B2C clients' business objectives.

This is an opportunity for a strategic leader and builder to shape the future of our growing Integrated Studio, our team of digital, content, and creative experts who partner with our PR teams to deliver holistic campaigns.

 

📍 Location: San Francisco or New York City (hybrid)

What You'll Do

Campaign Strategy & Execution 🎯

Create and advocate for integrated strategies that harness the power of content, creative, and social disciplines to meet client objectives, with a focus on driving brand awareness, reputational shifts, and audience engagement. You will guide project managers, creatives, and communications teams, providing the strategic direction needed for seamless execution and on-time delivery.

 

Senior Client Advisor 🤝

Lead as a key strategic advisor for senior marketing leaders, building lasting relationships and identifying opportunities to expand our impact and grow client engagements. You'll embed on teams with dedicated digital, social, and creator programs to build trust with senior stakeholders and advise senior leads on opportunities to expand our impact through integrated strategies, leading to deeper engagements and expanded scopes.

 

Product & Practice Evolution 🚀

Stay ahead of industry trends, platform shifts, and new media innovations. You'll translate these changes into frameworks and opportunities for clients and the agency, shaping the future of our digital, social, and PR programs. This includes evolving our service offerings in earned creator/influencer programs, executive social media (LinkedIn, X), long-form thought leadership and owned content strategies, and our work in generative engine optimization (GEO).

 

Business & Studio Growth 📈

Act as a growth engine for the studio by identifying and cultivating new opportunities with existing clients and playing a hands-on role in pitching and winning new business. You'll bring forward new ideas and frameworks that expand our portfolio and fuel agency revenue growth, and take a leadership role in scoping and forecasting that business.

 

Workflow and Impact Oversight 🧑‍💻

Direct the daily work of an integrated team by setting clear priorities and providing oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, managed well, and are high impact. You'll also champion data-driven storytelling by overseeing measurement and analytics to fuel insight-driven recommendations.

 

AI Integration & Innovation 🤖

Set the agenda for how our Integrated Studio leverages AI. This includes evolving our service offerings, providing training for the team, marketing our AI-forward capabilities, and scaling AI-powered workflows across our full portfolio of clients.

 

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience leading digital and social strategy at an innovative B2B agency and/or fast-growth B2B technology brand (PR agency experience preferred).
  • A successful track record of driving business development—building, selling, and activating high-profile integrated digital programs that grow client scopes and win new prospects.
  • Deep expertise in paid, owned, and earned campaigns in the B2B space, with the ability to connect them into cohesive, measurable strategies.
  • Experience running executive and brand social media programs, influencer/creator programs, and paid social media campaigns for B2B and B2B2C brands.
  • Strong consultative and client-facing skills, including direct presentation to executives.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset—a builder, not just a manager—with the vision to grow offerings and the operational rigor to scale them.
  • An empathetic leader who can bring the best out of people, balancing high standards with coaching and mentorship.
  • Based in San Francisco or New York City, with the ability to travel for client and new business needs.

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience.

Pay Range: Expected Salary range depending on experience: $170,000-$200,000 not including annual profit sharing bonus.
