About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Site O&M Technician at Cowes OCGT Power Station!
You will:
- Contribute towards delivering on the day to day Operational and Maintenance requirements by lone working at times with remote support from the Southern cluster team.
- Maximize the safe, reliable and commercial performance of the asset, you will be responsible for operating the plant and carrying out plant operational routines in line with our procedures, this will include fault diagnosis and breakdown recovery.
- On occasions you’ll be required to support the EA portfolio, this will require some travel around the UK.
- Manage site specific contracts and fulfil the role of Contract Engineer
- Take on the duties of a safety Controller/Safety Co-ordinator.
- Carry out general maintenance of plant dependant on the individuals competence.
Job requirements and experience
- Knowledge and experience of power and/or process plant operation and maintenance.
- Accredited as or working towards Contract Engineer status.
- Appreciation of the commercial aspects of the power generation business.
- Carrying out the duties of Safety Controller/Safety Co-ordinator under RWE Safety Rules.
- A flexible approach to work patterns, dependent upon seasonal operating requirements.
- Operations or Engineering qualification or studying towards an engineering qualification.

- An expected starting salary from £50,000 to £58,000 depending on experience and up to 10% annual bonus
