Merivale is looking for a Social Media Lead to take charge of our brand and venue accounts, guiding a team to deliver content that’s culturally relevant and performance-driven. Reporting to the Head of Digital, you’ll lead the execution of our social strategy while keeping your finger firmly on the pulse of emerging platforms, trends, and storytelling formats.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the social team, as well as support venue champions to deliver on-brand, high-quality content.
  • Translate brand and business objectives into platform-specific strategies that balance creativity with performance.
  • Oversee a portfolio of accounts, ensuring they are active, engaging, and community-driven.
  • Drive social campaigns and content that support promotions, increase foot traffic, and influence product purchase.
  • Create content across video, short-form, UGC, and real-time formats that bring our in-venue experiences to life.
  • Build relationships with creators, influencers, and talent to expand reach and credibility.
  • Track, analyse, and optimise performance to keep our content innovative, impactful, and audience-first.

 

You are/have:

  • A social native, fluent in platforms, formats, and trends.
  • A strong leader who can coach, inspire, and direct a team.
  • Both creative and data-driven, with a sharp eye for content that converts.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator, confident working with agencies, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Organised, collaborative, and confident working at pace across multiple projects.
  • Approx. 6 years relevant work experience.
