AVStar NY is currently seeking a mechanical and adaptable 2nd shift General Laborer for our Auburn, NY location.

We're currently seeking a 2nd Shift General Laborer to join our dynamic team and help drive our production operations to the next level.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Wash and dry parts as necessary to prepare for shipping and downstream operations.
• Tumble and deburr parts as required
• Assist with mask blast and finishing as required.
• Passivation of stainless steels
• Unload and stow raw material.
• Prepare scrap material and chips for resale
• Operate saw and deliver raw materials to proper work center.
• Work area 5s

Additional Duties (As Needed):

• Light repair of equipment, including coolant sump changes.
• Operator training of daily machine maintenance
• Proper coolant maintenance/ use of the refractometer
• Proper addition of oils and lubricants
• General shop cleanliness and upkeep
• Other duties may be assigned by the Plant Manager

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen as well as periodic random drug screens

• Regular physical on-site attendance is required.

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

• This position requires the regular use of a saw, operation of a forklift, and other machinery.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay: $17.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
• Experience-Based Pay: Higher rates may be offered based on experience
