Trade Compliance Intern
Role Overview:
Are you interested in global trade, international relations, and national security? A career in trade compliance offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of business, law and global markets while playing a key role in protecting national security. The Trade Compliance team sits within the legal department and provides regulatory guidance in the area of export controls and sanctions, as well as performs the day-to-day compliance tasks associated with export control and sanctions laws. As a trade compliance intern, you will gain hands-on experience in ensuring that goods and technology cross borders in full compliance with local and international laws and regulations. Y0ou will develop a strong understanding of logistics, regulatory affairs, and risk management all while building professional relationships.
The intern will work alongside the trade compliance team in Lowell, MA. The intern will receive training in the relevant areas of law, as well as MACOM’s systems and products. This internship is open to both undergraduate, graduate or law students with the scope of responsibilities and individual project tailored to the experience and maturity of the intern.
During the 12 weeks each Intern will:

hands on experience in denied party screening, customer due diligence, and licensing

excellent training and ongoing supervision
> Be given an individual and well-defined
project with set outcome goals

invited to attend an intern webinar series, networking/social events with other
MACOM interns
> Attend

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program or
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
Prerequisite Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
