Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within the telecom industry, and a passion for connecting businesses with effective communication solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new accounts, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Work Location

This is is a full-time remote position and the candidate must reside in the lower 48 US states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of Wiretap Telecom's solutions.
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure a smooth transition and satisfaction for new clients.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Represent Wiretap Telecom at industry trade shows approximately 2-3 times per year, taking a lead position at our booth to engage with potential clients and partners.

Compensation

This is a performance-based role with a clear path to high earnings. Your total annual compensation is designed to reward your success in bringing in new business.

  • Effective Base Salary: $74,000 per year.
  • Base Salary: $50,000 per year.
  • Performance Bonus (Quota): $1,000 per month for each of the first two new accounts you bring in. This means that by achieving this minimum target each month, your effective base salary will be boosted to $74,000 per year.
  • Commission: In addition to the performance bonus, you will earn an additional 15% monthly commission for the first 12 months of all new accounts with no commission caps.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 2-3 times annually for trade shows and industry events.
  • Confidence to take a leadership role at trade show booths, including engaging with attendees and presenting company services.
