Purpose: The Lift Planner works with the Company’s sales team and customers to support Maxim’s fleet of rental equipment by assessing project lifting requirements and developing accurate technical lift plans and supporting documentation. The role’s responsibilities include gathering information needed to produce detailed lift plans, calculating crane ground bearing pressures, training sales staff, coordinating with other lift planners and determining rigging requirements. The Lift Planner may also work with regional sales and national product staff to plan tower crane and hoist projects from the bid stage all the way to execution. This role is responsible for identifying effective equipment installations to satisfy Maxim’s interests and provide solutions for our customers. Key Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop crane layout and rigging details for crane lifts in private, commercial and industrial settings. Calculate crane and lifting requirements as well as develop standard and critical lift plans. · Coordinate with Maxim Engineers to develop and approve Engineered Lift Plans. · Coordinate with Maxim team members and customers to develop project lift requirements. · Use AutoCAD, 3D Lift Plan and other tools to create lift plans according to customer needs and project or site requirements.

Skills/Knowledge: |
- Excellent level ACAD skills.
- Excellent level communication skills.
- Moderate level knowledge of applied geometry.
- Moderate level presentation and documentation preparation skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of an outside sales job. Moderate physical effort required; including sitting, standing, walking, using a keyboard, and a phone are regular actions performed in this role. Occasional exposure to the elements may occur while visiting Maxim locations or customer job sites. Must be alert and aware while driving on company business.
