Description
Role Description:
The H.R. Generalist handles a wide range of human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance review process, compensation management, employee relations, training and upskilling, compliance, and policy creation and enforcement. They are responsible for maintaining accurate personnel records, assisting employees with employment-related matters, fostering a positive work environment, and advising the organization's leadership teams. The Grenadier H.R. Team are the champions of the company culture, values and a trusted resource for the organization's staff.
Detailed Responsibilities:
The following are detailed descriptions of the job tasks involved with this position:
- Recruiting & Onboarding
- Oversee the hiring process: Job posting, resume review, conduct and schedule interviews, generate and issue offer letters.
- Manage the onboarding of new employees
- Conduct background checks
- Ensure job positions and descriptions are up to date in HRIS system
- Benefits
- Ensure accuracy of carrier billing
- Notifying insurance carriers of new enrollments or terminations
- COBRA Administration
- Facilitating open enrollment
- Educating employees on company benefit options
- 401k administration
- Payroll & Compensation Management
- Process payroll (semi-monthly) with accuracy and discretion
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of Texas labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies to avoid penalties.
- Provide employee support by addressing inquiries and resolving any discrepancies
- Process termination checks
- Provide reporting as requested
- Ensure accurate and compliant time keeping
- Performance Management
- Employee reviews.
- Conduct investigations
- Provide support and guidance to management to help resolve any employee concerns

- Maintain Employee Handbook
- Provide up-to-date market compensation analysis
- Personnel record keeping
- Company communications
- Maintain HRIS system (Paylocity)
- Employee terminations
- Develop and maintain forms, documents, policies, and procedures
- Analyze and summarize data for decision making
- Conflict resolution
- Workers’ Compensation
- Monthly payroll recording and quarterly workers’ compensation reports
- Annual workers’ compensation audit
- Workers’ compensation reporting when an employee is injured
- Workers’ compensation coverage when an employee is injured
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3-5 years
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment law
- Ability to keep up with legislation changes
- Ability to work independently
- Strong capability to work with all organizational levels.
- Strong understanding of Texas employment laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience managing a department of 2 or more.
- Bilingual strongly preferred.
- HRIS Administrator experience preferred
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Strong ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information
- Project management experience is a plus
- Ability to work on-site at the corporate office in Addison.
- Flexible schedule is available upon successful completion of training and probationary period.
Manager:
H.R. Generalist reports to the Controller.
