Job Summary:
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on company facilities. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities and equipment. It also includes tasks like responding to complaints, conducting regular check-ups, and keeping an inventory of supplies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for basic maintenance and repair of the facility, including interior and exterior, and vital systems (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical).
- Perform filter changes for swamp coolers and AC units.
- General everyday needs of facilities upkeep.
- Performs carpentry, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance repairs such as repairing furniture, constructing shelves, installing switches, replacing plugs and other basic appliance repairs, applying paint and other finishes, repairing dry wall, disassembling and reassembling equipment, and replacing sinks and toilets.
- Collects and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
- Transports equipment, furniture, and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintains training to ensure compliance.
- Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
- Knowledge in trades of construction such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and many other aspects of construction.
- Scissor lift and forklift operation.
- Capable of learning how to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Performs any additional tasks as assigned to support company operations

Schedule: 1st shift (5:00am - 1:30pm)
*Flexible/Weekly changing schedule.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Food Manufacturing Machine Repair experience
- Excellent communication skills
- 1 year of previous production experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Flexible/Weekly changing schedule.
- Basic tool knowledge.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on high rooftops.
Physical and Other Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Walk on uneven ground and wet or slippery floors
- Twisting, turning, kneeling, stooping, and bending most of the day
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to spices (allergens), including but not limited to soy and wheat
- Exposure to high noise levels and high heat environment: PPE
- Slip-resistant shoes, hair and beard net, safety glasses, and earplugs are required in the work areas; gloves are recommended.
