2025 has been a transformative year for CFL, and as we grow our current and new programs, we are looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who share our commitment to making a difference. As a DSP, you’ll build meaningful relationships while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout Napa and select Solano County cities— including Vallejo and Benicia.

Whether you’re a working parent, college student, or looking for your next career step, becoming a DSP offers flexibility and purpose. Our available shift blocks are:
- Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (some start times may be 8:00 AM)
- Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Overnight: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Workweek schedules available
- Sunday - Thursday
- Tuesday - Saturday

Schedule Expectations
CFL provides customized supports based on each person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). DSPs must be available to work no less than 8 hours weekly. You must be able to travel to all Solano County service areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license & proof of auto insurance
- CPR/First Aid Certification (offered internally after 90 days)

Responsibilities
As a DSP, every day looks a little different — but all of it makes an impact. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting individuals in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming household
- Helping with daily living skills such as meal prep, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Encouraging independence while providing respectful assistance with health and safety needs
- Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
- Building meaningful connections and encouraging friendships
- Documenting services accurately and keeping communication open with CFL management
- Attending trainings, team meetings, and professional development sessions
- Promoting inclusion in the community and celebrating milestones, big or small
Physical Demands
DSPs may assist with mobility, including transfers with a Hoyer lift and mobility aids (training provided). This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, kneel, and maintain safe body mechanics while assisting others. CFL has a no single-lift policy to ensure the safety of both staff and individuals supported.
Job Type
This is a flexible, variable part-time position. Hours generally range from 25–40 per week and are based on the availability you share with us in your application.
