Position Purpose:

The Program Director, Life, Disability, Cargo, and Catastrophe (LDCC) manages NICB’s LDCC operational activities and investigations and advises Regions and other departments on LDCC-related issues and emerging trends. This role will develop and/or improve operational policies and procedures related to LDCC; assess and monitor the overall health of the program from a national level to proactively identify and acquire resources to ensure long-term growth; and collaborate across lines of business with internal and external stakeholders while providing support on key projects and deliverables within Operations, Intelligence, and Analytics (OIA).

Work Arrangement and Description: 

This is a remote position which means NICB grants the privilege and flexibility to work from a location within the boundaries of the United States or its Territories.

Competencies/Duties:

  • Maintain and grow the LDCC program while supporting the strategic direction of OIA and NICB by creating long-term goals and metrics, developing budgets and timelines, executing project plans, and developing a continuous feedback/assessment methodology.   Coordinate with others to achieve defined objectives.
  • Maintain situational awareness of multi-claim, multi-carrier LDCC criminal investigations to deconflict multiple cases involving the same investigative target.
  • Ensure uniform and consistent investigative processes involving LDCC criminal investigations conducted in Regional Directorates across the enterprise. Coordinate with the Strategy, Policy, and Government Affairs Department when needed to develop and revise policies.
  • Baseline current performance outcomes and conduct analyses to measure the effectiveness of the LDCC Program in combating crimes within the investigative discipline. 
  • Provide information and recommendations for the improvement and enhancement of all LDCC programs. Identify and coordinate acquisition of resources needed for LDCC programs (i.e., personnel (NICB or contract), third-party data, software).
  • Assist the Chief Data and Analytics Architect (CDAA) with building performance metrics and the monitoring of performance outcomes for operational regions and programs. 
  • Assist the CDAA with building the operating budget, tracking expenditures, and obligating funds.  
  • Represent NICB as an active participant and industry leader within LDCC trade associations. Coordinate the NICB’s presence and participation (from HQ and Regional Offices) in approved LDCC-related conferences. 
  • As a subject matter expert, develop member-facing LDCC-related trainings and support the Advanced LDCC Training Programs (in conjunction with the Learning and Development Department). Ensure avenues for internal training and development are provided to LDCC field personnel at all levels.
  • Review, provide guidance to ensure consistency of, and provide concurrence on LDCC-related Special Operations Proposals and Plans.
  • Review and provide guidance to ensure consistency for external presentations.
  • Manage the LDCC-related Major Case and Special Operations Programs.
  • Manage and maintain a diverse variety of business relationships related to Life, Disability, Cargo, and Catastrophe.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus six (6) years of investigative experience or ten (10) years total of investigative experience in lieu of a degree required
  • 5 - 8 years of supervisory experience, with experience leading Life, Medical, Disability, Cargo, and/or Catastrophic or major events preferred.
  • National-level program management experience in multiple programs preferred
  • Additional relevant experience preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may supervise employees and will be responsible for tasking, development, and overall growth for all direct reports.

Salary Range and Statement:

The salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
