General Description
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the church’s first point of contact, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects its mission to bring people to a passionate commitment to Christ, His Cause and His Community. This role manages calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism, oversees front desk operations, and supports administrative needs to ensure a hospitable and efficient environment.
Essential Job Functions

? Attend all staff meetings and required events.
? Demonstrates an understanding of and alignment with Crossroads Church DNA and values.
Hospitality & First Impressions
? Serve as the welcoming “face and voice” of the church, providing an excellent first experience for every guest, caller, and visitor.
? Greet and assist guests in the Front Office, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
? Maintain a clean, inviting lobby area and breakroom space.
? Regularly restock breakroom essentials.
Front Desk & Communication
? Ensure the front desk is staffed during all office hours (M-Th, 8:00am-4:30pm).
? Lead team and manage the serving schedule of volunteer receptionists by providing training, coaching and encouragement.
? Recruit new Front Desk team members during Ministry Draft Days and at other strategic times throughout the year.
? Answer and respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and Chatra web chat messages.
? Provide accurate information about upcoming services, events, and ministries, meeting information needs before transferring calls or emails.
? Update voicemail, office signage, and vendor communication to reflect holidays, closures, and schedule changes.
? Create a system to log all inquiries and communication daily, noting sources and reasons for contact.
? Coordinate with facilities/security teams when safety concerns arise.
Mail, Packages & Supplies
? Receive, sign for, and distribute all incoming mail and packages, notifying staff upon arrival.
? Communicate with mail carriers and shipping companies as needed.
? Manage office supply inventory, place and track monthly orders, and maintain an organized supply cabinet.
Ministry & Staff Support
? Notify staff of visitor arrivals and scheduled appointments.
? Provide administrative and practical support to church ministries as needed. (Office of the Senior Pastor, Human Resources, etc.)
? Facilitate Pastor on Call process by connecting those who need care with that day’s Pastor on Call.
? Handle sensitive information with discretion.

Education and Experience
This role requires a warm, people-focused individual who is gracious, hospitable, and skilled at making both guests and staff feel at ease. The ideal candidate can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and brings experience in customer service, office administration, or public-facing roles. A high school diploma is required, with an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
? Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
