General Summary
Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.
Responsibilities
WellSpan Medical Group seeks full-time Physician, Neurologist for their WellSpan Neurology – 958 Isabel Drive location in Lebanon County. Individual must be a graduate of accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree plus completion of neurology residency training program. Must have PA medical license and be Board Certified/Eligible in neurology. Will manage and treat disorders and diseases of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves with a primarily nonsurgical focus. Will evaluate patients and conduct thorough physical examinations and neurological tests, will order and interpret diagnostic tests to make accurate diagnoses of neurological conditions, and work closely with patients to develop treatment plans. Will refer patients to additional specialists when necessary.

Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and
- Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
