Join us as an Exercise Specialist and help create a thriving, supportive community where residents and staff can live their healthiest lives. You’ll deliver high-quality strength training and health promotion programs while leading engaging group classes, personalized sessions, and wellness events.
Here's what you'll do:
Support the Wellness Director in promoting resident goals, self-efficacy, and quality of life.
Assess, plan, and educate residents on individual and group exercise programs; train on equipment as needed.
Evaluate functional capacity, determine safe plans of action, and re-evaluate goals regularly.
Lead 1:1 personal training sessions and group classes of 3+ residents.
Supervise exercise hours, ensuring safe and effective instruction.
Maintain relevant specialty certifications and assist with program development.
Oversee Wellness Center maintenance, including equipment, pool care, and cleaning.
Manage attendance systems, scheduling, and client check-ins.
Stay current on older adult wellness research and apply best practices.
Create and update event listings, calendars, flyers, sign-ups, and handouts.
Assist with wellness event coordination, outings, and publications.
Provide support with billing and other duties as assigned.
Here's what you'll need:
CPR certification required.
Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Certified Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Specialist, or Personal Trainer (ACSM preferred or equivalent).
1+ year of experience with adults 65+ or similar populations.
Demonstrated ability in group and individual exercise programming and instruction.
Strong knowledge of the aging process and the six aspects of wellness.
Understanding of exercise contraindications; able to recognize signs and symptoms.
Preferred certifications/experience in Aquatics, Yoga, Pilates, Balance, or Health Coaching.
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field (required/preferred—depending on your standard).
Completion of post-offer health physical, drug screening, and background check.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, dependability, and ability to work collaboratively.
Computer proficiency and ability to learn software systems.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range: $24.30-$30.19 per hour.
- We offer a generous benefits package designed to support the overall well-being of our Team Members.
- Full-Time (32+ hours/week) Team Members are eligible for all benefits listed below.
- Part-Time Team Members are eligible for select benefits.
