About the Department
Early Childhood Sports & Movement Instructor
Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Early Childhood Sports and Movement Instructor to lead preschool and youth programming. We are seeking community-minded, safety-focused individuals who are passionate about recreation and enjoy working with our youngest participants of all abilities and backgrounds.
As an Early Childhood Sports and Movement Instructor you’ll:
- Lead engaging preschool level classes that promote skill development and fun
- Support the needs of individuals and manage small group dynamics
- Ensure physical safety by adapting activities to meet participants’ abilities
- Foster a welcoming and positive environment that encourages confidence, teamwork, and community
Instructors should feel comfortable teaching the following:
- Yoga Basics
- Pre-Gymnastics/Tumbling
- Preschool Level Sports Introduction

Hours & Classification:
Hours may vary and are based on program need. This position is typically scheduled for 2 to 29 hours per week, between 8:30am - 1:00pm, along with opportunities on Saturdays and Sundays.
Qualifications
Instructor II: Must have at least 1 year of experience leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
