Position Summary
Sun & Ski Sports is seeking an experienced Vendor & Marketplace Operations Specialist to strengthen our eCommerce and supply chain capabilities. This role goes beyond vendor data collection — it requires deep expertise in Amazon Seller Central and third-party logistics (3PL) operations to optimize product setup, vendor performance, and fulfillment execution.
The Vendor & Marketplace Operations Specialist will oversee end-to-end vendor relationships, marketplace compliance, and dropship/3PL partnerships to ensure operational excellence. This individual will serve as the key liaison between vendors, logistics partners, and internal teams, driving efficiency, accuracy, and growth in our marketplace channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Vendor & Marketplace Management
- Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships to support business growth and operational compliance.
- Manage Amazon Seller Central operations, including product setup, catalog maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Ensure all marketplace listings meet compliance standards and routing guidelines.
- Operational Execution
- Partner with 3PL providers and dropship vendors to streamline fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Monitor and resolve PO discrepancies, invoice variances, and shipment errors across marketplaces.
- Drive accountability with vendors regarding routing compliance, EDI adherence, and mis-ships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance to ensure invoicing accuracy, timely payments, and resolution of variances.
- Partner with Supply Chain and eCommerce teams to optimize vendor setup and performance metrics.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for vendor onboarding, product setup, and compliance tracking.
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyze vendor and 3PL performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for efficiency.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce operational friction and improve customer experience.
- Stay current on Amazon policies, industry best practices, and evolving 3PL models.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management, eCommerce operations, or supply chain roles.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central (required).
- Proven track record of managing 3PL partnerships and dropship programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/EDI systems preferred.
