SMX is hiring a Program Analyst in the Sentinel Product Office of the Search-Track-Acquire-Radiate-Engage (STARE) Program Office, working on critically important projects involving integrated defenses against air and missile threats. 
 
The Program Analyst must be a dynamic, quick-thinking staff officer with broad knowledge, capabilities, and organizational skills to serve in roles that directly support the operations and activities of Product Office leadership, including the Product Manager, Assistant Product Managers, and Product Integrator. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of recurring reports and develop stand-alone briefing products to accurately and precisely convey Product Office information to higher level decision makers
  • Coordinate Staff Action Control Office taskings, Requests for Information, and programmatic responses for the Product Office, ensuring comprehensive and timely responses
  • Serve on Integrated Planning Teams to achieve specific goals in support of functional leads; coordinate and collaborate with other Product Offices as required
  • Work with functional area leaders within the DoD Business and Acquisitions process to support technical, budget, and contractual aspects of operations in support of product development, test and evaluation, and logistics
  • Facilitate vertical and horizontal communications through excellent oral and written products
  • Teammate will work on site in a government office; infrequent travel may be required

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Clearance Required: Secret
  • A bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience working in military or Department of Defense Acquisition-related areas
  • Thorough understanding of Army/DoD business processes
  • Thorough understanding of Army Air and Missile Defense Warfighting Function, including detailed knowledge of radar programs
  • Ability to think critically and manage multiple activities at the strategic, operational, and tactical level; demonstrated excellence in organizational skills
  • Expertise in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communication skills; Must be comfortable briefing senior military officers and senior executive service civilians and working directly with multiple supervisors and stakeholders on a daily basis
  • A proactive, self-starter who can work as an effective team member in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Direct experience/expertise in Missile Defense and/or Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems and operations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • Prior service in the Defense Acquisition community 
  • Prior experience on military radar programs
  • Prior experience with military Integrated Air and Missile Defense
