About the Department
Helix Water District is looking for a Part Time Assistant Recreation Ranger to work at our beautiful Lake Jennings. If you love the outdoors and want to work on a talented team that provides top-notch customer service, we'd love for you to join us. The Details:
- Shifts vary between 5 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
- You must be available during the month of July various hours Monday - Sunday.
- Typically, 16-25 hours per week.
- No more than 950 hours per fiscal year. (July 1 - June 30)
- This position is part-time with no benefits.
Position Duties
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a valid California driver's license.
• Possess good communication skills. We need someone who is friendly and courteous who has the ability to use diplomacy when enforcing rules and regulations.
• Have general maintenance experience including familiarity with hand tools and power-driven equipment.
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, swim and knowledge of water safety.
• Must be a reliable self-starter who works well with minimum supervision.
• The ability to hike up to 2-3 miles in rough and steep terrain and work outside in extreme weather conditions.
