Job Summary
Employment Duration: 6 months
The Medical Staff Analyst 3 is responsible for supporting medical staff services and credentialing processes. This role develops, implements, and monitors systems to ensure efficient and compliant credentialing of physicians and clinical staff. The analyst coordinates with hospital departments, faculty, and medical staff to provide continuity and compliance with medical staff bylaws, regulations, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credentialing Process: Initiates and manages credentialing applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy in internal systems.
- Licensure & Certification Management: Maintains current licensures and credentials for clinical staff, notifies providers of upcoming expirations, and recommends actions as needed.
- File Review & Preparation: Prepares credentialing files for departmental and committee approval, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensures credentialing files comply with bylaws, rules, policies, and applicable regulations within required timeframes.
- Documentation & Communication: Prepares and issues approval letters for credentialing actions, ensuring providers are informed of committee decisions.
- Administrative Support: Provides high-level administrative assistance for academic and medical services offices, coordinating projects to improve efficiency.
- Liaison Role: Serves as the primary contact between medical staff, faculty, and hospital departments, fostering professional relationships to streamline credentialing requests.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
- Strong ability to set and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and medical credentialing databases.
- Knowledge of data management and documentation methods related to medical credentialing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Experience applying regulatory guidelines and monitoring compliance.
