Farmington Continuing Education is seeking a Continuing Education Clerk - P/T
General Description - The position is responsible for day-to-day office operations such as, but not limited to answering phones, registration entry, and deposits.
Work Schedule: Part time, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, up to 15 hours per week
Qualifications: Demonstrates working knowledge of customer service, administrative assistance and basic bookkeeping skills. Knowledge should be supplemented by strong technology skills including experience using database software systems. Individuals should be able to demonstrate organization, planning and coordination under general direction and supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary to present information clearly and to communicate with staff and customers. The position requires high confidentiality.
Candidate should hold an associate’s degree or formal training relevant to the position.
Candidate should have prior experience as an executive assistant, administrative assistant, office manager or similar experience.
Candidate should demonstrate skills related to budget and accounts payable.
Candidate should exhibit a high degree of professionalism and ability to work collaboratively with others and the public.
Consideration will be given to the following:
Five years or more of related experience
References that indicate the candidate possesses superior organizational skills.
Evidence that the candidate possesses superior computer skills.
Evidence of various life and work experiences that contribute to the candidate’s overall sophistication and preparedness.
Compensation: $24-28 per hour depending on experience
Location: 1 Depot Place, Unionville, CT
Reports to: Supervised and evaluated by the Farmington Continuing Education Coordinator
