- Lead and facilitate ProACT training sessions, workshops, and seminars for staff within the
 - behavioral health division.
 - Collaborate with clinical leadership to adapt training content to address specific behavioral health needs and ensure it aligns with organizational goals.
 - Ensure that participants gain proficiency in the ProACT model, focusing on conflict de-escalation, communication, behavioral health interventions, and safety protocols.
 - Evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs, gathering feedback from participants and adjusting curriculum as needed.
 - Provide post-training support, including one-on-one coaching, refresher courses, and
 - troubleshooting any challenges faced by employees in applying the ProACT techniques.
 - Serve as a resource for behavioral health employees, sharing knowledge of mental health
 - disorders, trauma-informed care, and crisis management.
 - Ensure all training activities are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry
 - standards, maintaining accurate records of participant progress and certification.
 - Work with interdisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, crisis intervention teams, and administrative employees to ensure consistent implementation of ProACT methodologies across the organization.
 - Promote culturally sensitive approaches to behavioral health training, ensuring inclusivity and respect for diverse populations.
 - Plans for and develops the calendar for monthly, quarterly, and annual trainings.
 - Works with leadership to ensure support for training sessions, including external instructors/speakers, locations for training, and other logistics.
 - Stays current on best practice approaches and programs in education and development; applies applicable practices as appropriate for the organization.
 - Assess facilities for potential risks in collaboration with the risk team.
 
- Knowledge of workplace training and education including adult learning principles, organizational development practices and instructional design, and ability to use knowledge and skills to plan effective learning pathways.
 - Knowledge of essential computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office,
 - Adobe, Zoom (or other webinar platform), etc.
 - Knowledge of behavioral health crisis intervention models.
 - Knowledge of mental health disorders, behavioral health crises, and trauma-informed care
 - practices.
 - Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to behavioral health and crisis
 - intervention.
 - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of learners.
 - Ability to assess training needs, develop curricula, and deliver content in an engaging manner.
 - Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of personality types.
 - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions at all employee levels.
 - Ability to provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to staff members.
 - Collaborative, patient, and adaptable approach to working with teams.
 - Working knowledge of computer equipment and software.
 - Must possess a clear and active California Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurability.
 - This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
 
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or related discipline preferred.
 - A minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention or related field
 - preferred.
 - Pro-ACT In-service Instructor Certification required.
 - Risk management assessments.
