The role
Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for employees across a complex, multi-jurisdictional organisation. Support and guide Payroll team members, ensure compliance with legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies, and resolve payroll queries including interpreting employment instruments. Contribute to continuous improvement and assist with internal and external audits. Key relationships include internal stakeholders such as HRBPs, HRSS, line managers, finance, IT, and employees, as well as external parties like government agencies and superannuation funds.
- Deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, ATO requirements, superannuation rules, and industrial instruments.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records, prepare and reconcile reports and journals, support audits, and ensure EOFY and STP reporting compliance.
- Resolve payroll queries, provide expert guidance, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency, support system upgrades, and maintain clear documentation.
- Comply with Company HSE Performance Standards, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety.
