The Gig:

The Manager - HRIS is responsible for the day to day and oversight of the HRIS structure. The primary focus of this position is the oversight, development and support of the configurations, project plans and day to day maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS functions. 

This position serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Manager also implements and supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

This position is solely responsible for all Shoreside (Workday) data and configurations.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

  • Considered the system owner, decision maker on processes and management of all Human Resources (HR) systems Shoreside (Workday) systems, supporting 500+ Employees

  • Responsible for the administration, configuration and maintenance of all HR systems

  • Management of project plans for implementations, configurations for departmental key stakeholders, external departments and vendors

  • Key point of contact for HR system support company-wide

  • Liaison between HR and Information Technology (IT) on any system related initiatives

  • Develop, design and maintain all system training plans and system launch information

  • Projects and Process Improvement recommendations to streamline internal processes by identifying workflows while considering new and innovative ways of doing business

  • Reporting configuration and analytics for HR based metrics

  • Prepare materials and facilitate training for system related launches or enhancements

  • Creatively identify ways to design and configure internal HR systems that challenge the industry and standards of technology to be more innovative

  • Maintain a high-level working knowledge of updates and enhancements being launched in the system-based products used at Virgin Voyages and innovative approaches of competitors

  • Other duties as assigned

SuperPowers Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work

  • 7+ years of HRIS or HR Generalist or Specialist experience

  • 3+ years of Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruitment, Absence & Benefits required

  • Experience with HR terminology, regulations, operations, procedures, requirements and practices

  • Workday Certified highly preferred

  • 1 - 2 years of project management experience 

  • System configuration and implementation experience a must

  • Strong working knowledge or system speak and HR workflows

  • Strong problem solving and with a creative and innovative approach for solution thinking

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written

  • Highly collaborative in team-based environment as well as ability to work independently
