The Role
Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager this strategic role will see you manage the projects team within DNL NAO Global Manufacturing Operations, while developing capital plan to support business needs.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the Project Team within NAO GLobal Manufacturing Opeations, Phosphate Hill, Mount isa and Townsville
- Lead the development and maintenance of a best-in-class safety & performance culture for the Project Team
- Provide leadership and guidance on project HS&E and risk management processes providing for incident and injury free project delivery
- Report and forecast on portfolio status in line with corporate and business requirements
- Establish virtual systems to monitor project delivery performance in order to quickly identify issues and their resolution
- Ensure balance is maintained between stakeholder requirements in the delivery of the best project results for the business
What you’ll bring
Ideally you will have proven experience as a Projects Portfolio Manager with leadership experience. Other desirable skills and experience include:
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
- Tertiary qualifications in in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in SAP & Microsoft Project (preferred)
- Minimum 10 years experience in Project & Portfolio management in a relevant industry
- Able to work across different sites and manage complex situations as they arise
- Ability to develop team members and mentor junior project managers accross multiple sites
