Role Overview:
 
Due to continued growth we require Design Engineer – Underfloor Heating and Heat Pump Systems to design and develop efficient and sustainable underfloor heating and heat pump systems for residential and commercial buildings. The role involves working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver bespoke heating solutions that meet regulatory standards and client expectations.

Location  | Head Office, Banbridge, Co. Down
Hours | Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
Salary | Competitive Depending on Experience
Responsible to | Strategic Development Manager

What You'll be Doing

The role involves designing underfloor heating and heat pump systems using CAD and simulation software, performing heat loss calculations, selecting suitable technologies, and ensuring compliance with building regulations and sustainability standards. It includes liaising with clients and contractors, providing technical support during installation, preparing technical drawings and documentation, and contributing to R&D and standardisation efforts. 

Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, at least two years of experience in HVAC or renewable energy design, proficiency in design and heat load software, and strong communication and project management skills. Experience with underfloor heating systems, HT2000 software, heat pumps, and sustainability certifications is desirable.
