THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently seeking a Capital Markets and External Communications Summer Student to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Markets and Manager, External Communications, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with a passion for learning. The work-term will commence in May 2026 and will last approximately 4 months.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development and preparation of Capital Markets materials during quarterly reporting
- Maintain and create contact information in the Capital Markets database
- Conduct industry and company research and analysis
- Support weekly media and social media monitoring of industry trends, peer performance, and key issues
- Compile monthly communications analytics reports on digital channels and content performance
- Lead the development and execution of a summer student communications plan and associated materials
- Assist with the execution of ARC sponsorship and donation activations and events
- Support the facilitation of ARC branding requests
- Manage the teams schedule and assist with conference calls, conferences, and internal meetings
- Support other projects and initiatives as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC:
- This position is ideally suited for students entering the second or third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree or a related field
- Ability to perform tasks both independently and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve issues
- Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Experience in Capital Markets or Communications is considered an asset
- Experience in SAP or other financial systems is considered an asset
