As the People and Culture Manager, North America you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the business and HR leadership across the US and Canada. You’ll provide oversight and direction for critical HR functions, including Benefits (both tactical administration and long-term strategy), Payroll, Compensation Program cycles and cross-regional HR initiatives, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, local compliance, and global best practices.
By leading teams and managing key partnerships, you’ll drive the design and execution of people strategies that fuel business growth, foster engagement, and sustain long-term success.

What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership to internal teams and external partners responsible for benefits, payroll, compensation cycles and compliance across the US and Canada, ensuring effective governance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as a key liaison between regional HR operations and HR Centers of Excellence, fostering collaboration on initiatives that advance organizational priorities and reflect local market practices.
- Own the annual North America year-end cycle process for compensation and variable pay, including program design alignment, execution, employee communications, and governance in partnership with the Global Reward and Compensation team.
- Lead strategic high-impact HR projects focused on process transformation, operational excellence, and standardization opportunities that improve scalability and employee experience.
- Anticipate emerging HR and employment law trends in the US and Canada, advising leaders on implications and ensuring proactive compliance with evolving requirements.
- Influence and support business leaders in shaping people strategies that enhance culture, retention, and engagement, including inclusive meritocracy and other inclusivity and engagement initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize HR service delivery and foster innovative solutions.
- Apply digital tools and AI-ready practices to enhance workflows and service delivery.
- Partner with internal communications to deliver clear, impactful messaging on key HR initiatives and employee programs
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
- SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with expertise in compensation cycles, benefits oversight (strategy and administration), employee relations, and performance management.
- 5+ years leading teams and managing complex HR projects with measurable business impact.
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner, influencing senior leaders and shaping organizational outcomes.
- Strong analytical and project management skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Deep knowledge of HR policies, employment law (US and Canada), benefits administration, payroll and HRIS systems.
- Experience navigating global organizations and partnering within a Center of Excellence model.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
- Preferred: Experience with UKG, SuccessFactors, and Canadian employment law
- Skilled in emerging HR technologies including Generative AI and Responsible AI.
