Main Tasks
- Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and services
 - Issue purchase orders
 - Assist with quality issues that may result in a return to vendor
 - Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock
 - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies
 - Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery
 - Utilize procurement management software to streamline purchasing processes
 - Research inventory discrepancies with Finance
 - Communicate with scheduling and production of any issues with materials
 - Additional duties as assigned
 
Your Profile
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience in replenishment buying and/or requisition buying in a manufacturing environment
 - Strong understanding of production, logistics and supply chain management principles
 - Prior experience in manufacturing
 - Prior experience in purchasing preferred
 - Analytical skills; ability to calculate and convert units of measure, build truckloads, etc.
 - Proficient in inventory management techniques to optimize stock levels
 - Strong team player
 - Ability to take initiative and think proactively with a positive attitude and target oriented approach
 - Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel)
 - Ability to analyze pricing trends and make informed purchasing decisions
 - Experience with ERP systems; SAGE preferred
 - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
 - Must be able to work well independently or with minimal supervision
