Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Reports To: Director of HR, People & Culture
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (will include some evenings and weekends)
Work Arrangement: In-person position
Primary Location: Abingdon, Maryland

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:
As an HRBP you’ll help build an inclusive, high-performing workplace at our community-based behavioral health clinics. You'll lead key HR functions—recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits, and compliance—ensuring our team feels supported, empowered, and ready to make a difference every day. Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and referring qualified candidates
- Lead and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation sessions to ensure a smooth and engaging start.
2. Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with organizational values.
3. Training & Development
- Identify organizational training needs and coordinate the planning and delivery of development programs.
- Support employee growth through learning initiatives, mentorship, and career development planning.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Administer and communicate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings.
- Support compensation planning by assisting with salary reviews, benchmarking, and job evaluations.
5. Compliance
- Serve as a Member of Corporate Compliance Team for BSF, ensuring alignment with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS data integrity.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
6. Performance Management
- Support the development and administration of performance appraisal processes.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management and employee development.
7. HR Operations & Projects
- Prepare and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure the confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
- Actively participate in cross-functional HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Other projects/duties as assigned by management for the overall benefit of the organization
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum two (2) years of related Human Resources experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP
- Ability to develop relationships and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization with an ability to communicate effectively and make decisions
- Ability to act independently in applying discretion, judgment, and tact in a highly sensitive environment with changing priorities.
- PHR/SHRM-CP is preferred, but not required
- Behavioral Health or related industry experience is preferred, but not required
