Job Purpose

The Inventory Coordinator is primarily responsible for researching, creating and maintaining accurate system records for all warehouse transactions and functions, including but not limited to QA, item transfers, physical inventories, inventory variances, adjustments, AGI and CERES.  


The Inventory Coordinator also establishes and maintains a close working relationship with Three Square operations teams, and all other departments and management to ensure efficient operations and positive communication between the departments.  



Essential Job Functions

  • Performs data entry using CERES, AGI, Microsoft programs and other computer system programs.
  • Responsible for physical inventory counts of Warehouse /Freezer/Cooler.
  • Assist with accurate identification, printing and labeling of incoming inventory.
  • Performs assigned tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding agency, inventory, invoicing and researching inventory concerns. 
  • Facilitate the repack and transfer of product between commercial vendors and warehouses. 
  • Maintain the Agency shopping list’s integrity. 
  • Participate in product reconciliation of book to physical, and analysis of variances.
  • Perform root cause analysis to remediate recurrent operational issues 
  • Daily cycle counts.
  • Participate in product reconciliation of book to physical, and analysis of variances.
  • QA all of the outgoing orders daily. 
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Train staff to use operations-related systems.
  • Manage confidential information.
  • Regular and consistent attendance. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Work Activities 

Operate stand-up or sit-down forklift, operate all electric equipment including manual pallet jack. May lift, move and carry objects from 50 – 70 pounds, such as boxes containing food and other supplies. May be required to push/pull up to 1200 pounds of merchandise to enable getting an accurate count of specific inventory. May have to crouch, bend, kneel and reach when applying inventory identification labels. May have to work in the warehouse; cleaning and repacking donations.    


Abilities

Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, make presentations and develop reports that may include technical information, establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, maintains focus on tasks and produce accurate work. Proven experience working in warehouse and logistics operation environment. 


Work Environment

Work is typically performed in a warehouse office environment while sitting at a computer screen for extended periods. Periodic work in performed in the warehouse, subject to varying temperatures (dock area, main warehouse, freezer, cooler). Requires standing, repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires walking and running, contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone or otherwise), face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams. Requires exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable, repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over. Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people.


Requirements

Qualifications


Experience and Education

High school diploma or GED and three years work experience in inventory or asset tracking. Experience in food bank enviroment strongly preferred. Additional education may be substituted for experience.
