Pay Range: $45-50 per hour based on experience

Job Summary:

The Surgical Registered Nurse role focuses on the surgical treatment of skin cancer procedures and cosmetic procedures. As an RN, you will work closely with our provider team in outpatient dermatologic surgery procedures such as skin cancer (Mohs) Surgery, injectables, and other minimally invasive procedures. 

Clinical Responsibilities: 

· Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room.

· Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

· Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed at the direction of the provider.

· Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies.

· Travels to alternate satellite clinics as required.

· Other duties as assigned. 

Surgical Repair Responsibilities: 

· Performs surgical repairs both during surgery days and for follow-up procedures

· Accurately documenting and charting all repair notes.

· Discussing post care and expectations with patients during visit and thoroughly answering all patient questions.

· Ensuring antibiotics are prescribed if applicable.

· Schedule suture removals/wound checks. 

· Calling patients in a timely manner to follow up with them post-surgery if needed. 

· Other duties as assigned. 

Aesthetic Services Responsibilities: 

· Performs aesthetic procedures including injections, fillers, and follow-up patient visits in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice

· Assists with cosmetic consultations and collaborates with providers on treatment planning

· Educate patients on treatment options, retail products, and membership benefits

· Monitors and documents patient responses, managing complications within scope and escalating when appropriate

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

· Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.

· Proficient in EMR systems

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. 

· Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota or current compact state license required.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in dermatology, plastics, or a related surgical/aesthetic setting required

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.
