With 2 locations in the Omaha/Papillion area, Urgent Pet Care is an AAHA accredited, growth - oriented, urgent care clinic that is making a difference in the lives of our patients, clients, and team members! Our trained technicians, assistants, and client care individuals are dedicated to the mission and values that make us stand out in the community. Our hours of operation are:

• Monday - Saturday: 8 am - 12 midnight
• Sunday: 8 am - 10 pm

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, assisting with the diagnostic treatments, assisting with nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, assisting with administration of medications, effective communication within the team environment, and alignment of UPC core values.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

We’re looking for:

• An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience highly preferred.
• Weekend and evening availability.
• Compassionate and calm team player.
• Manage time and tasks appropriately and remain flexible with assigned duties.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Abide by all safety policies and foster a safe working environment.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
