Ready to join in? We are looking for a full- time Certified Medical Assistant to be based at the new clinic located in the Galewood neighborhood (corner of North and Harlem.) The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-pace environment. The position will report to the Office Manager and provide direct clinical care to all patients including vital signs, rooming, blood draws, and assist with clinical procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Direct the flow of patients into the room or cast room.
  • Obtaining vitals sign (height, weight, and blood pressure) and records information on patients' charts.
  • Proficient in phlebotomy.
  • Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.
  • Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned between patients, as well as cleaned and stocked at the end of the day.
  • Maintain inventory of all necessary supplies, instruments, places orders, verifies deliveries, and approves invoices as necessary.
  • Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of relevant medical assistant work experience (required)
  • 1+ year of relevant phlebotomy experience (required)
  • Have general knowledge of EMR software, Athena experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and the ability to interact with patients, physicians and co-workers.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certified Medical Assistant with a National Association (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT.)

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
