What You Will Be Doing 


The Mitigation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of the company’s mitigation operations on a national scale. This role involves complete P&L responsibility, strategic planning, team leadership, quality assurance, and client relationship management across a wide range of mitigation services, including water, mold, fire, pack-out/pack-in, and bio-hazard mitigation. The Director will develop and sell Renu’s Mitigation Services while implementing industry best practices, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and leading efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. 


Essential Job Functions 

  • Understanding of mitigation with respect to construction materials and practices.  
  • Develop and execute the national mitigation strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives. 
  • Lead and manage regional mitigation teams to ensure consistent quality and operational standards. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies. 
  • Drive growth and profitability through strategic planning and client acquisition. 
  • Oversee the coordination and management of large-scale mitigation projects, including water, fire, mold, pack-out/pack-in, and bio-hazard services. 
  • Able to work on multiple projects at one time and manage time effectively. 
  • Ensure all mitigation services are delivered on time, within budget, and according to company standards. 
  • Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental safety and mitigation procedures. 
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards. 
  • Develop client-specific mitigation plans and communicate progress and outcomes effectively. 
  • Prepare and manage the national mitigation budget, including forecasting and expense control. 
  • Develop and analyze financial performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize profitability. 
  • Oversee cost estimation and project pricing processes for large-scale mitigation contracts. 
  • Prepare reports on project outcomes, financial metrics, and safety compliance for executive leadership. 
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on project performance data. 
  • Implement and maintain industry best practices, including IICRC guidelines and OSHA regulations. 
  • Establish protocols for emergency response and disaster recovery operations. 
  • Additional duties as assigned.  

Qualifications 

  • 5-10 years of experience in mitigation/restoration management 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Background in multifamily renovation, hospitality and construction required. 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • IICRC Certifications (e.g., Water Damage Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying, Fire and Smoke Restoration). 
  • Mold / asbestos certification is required. 
  • Strong existing network in the restoration industry is highly desirable. 
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-moving, deadline driven environment. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Proficient in project management software and restoration management tools. 
  • Excellent financial management and budget oversight abilities. 
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality, able to work independently in a remote environment. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
