ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the day to day operations and management of studio and product photography
  • Oversee the studio process for all products from obtaining, through photography, retouch, technical specifications, and upload to the content server
  • Works closely with the Director of Search Excellence and other teams to ensure the images that are photographed are in line with business priorities and strategies
  • Responsible for leading all functions within the studio and meeting operational goals, metrics, and operational objectives
  • Maintain awareness of where each product is in the process and ensure momentum throughout until point of upload
  • Anticipates changing priorities and implements plans to meet business needs
  • Performs daily quality assurance on images to adhere to established standards
  • Organizing the photography stations and workflows in the studio for optimal efficiency and production
  • Manage product upload and ensure accuracy of naming conventions for all images
  • Constant review of processes and implementation of changes and improvements to deliver more efficiency and reduce time to website
  • Maintenance of process guidelines and communication to all team members to ensure a consistent approach at all points
  • Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgements
  • Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing a team of individuals in a production photography environment
  • Experience managing the day-to-day operations of a high-volume product photography studio
  • Experience with tabletop still, 360 and 3D photography
  • Expert skills with image production software tools like Photoshop
  • Extensive experience editing product images
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of workflow including prioritization, planning and task delegation under deadlines
  • A dynamic and agile approach to the rapidly changing demands of a growing company
  • Highly organized in maintaining file structures, transfers, and storage of images and detail orientated with an ability to influence and prioritize
  • Team player with self-confidence, assertiveness, and motivation to succeed
  • A passion for product and exceeding expectations
  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of Mouser’s business systems, applications, and data sources etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field, or minimum of 3 years prior work experience that is relevant to the team you will manage. Including:
  • Internal candidates: Minimum 2 years as a highly performing Mouser Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • External candidates: Minimum 3 years as a supervisor or higher-level management position
  • Experience with Snap36 Photography equipment and Spin Me software or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of various types of image files and the ability to transform the files using tools to the needed format such as jpeg or png.
