Procurement Cluster Category Manager GSC (Danville, VA)

 

 

Your Role and Purpose

 

 

As Cluster Category Manager, you will oversee procurement initiatives for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Category (including but not limited to non-Tobacco materials, spare parts, CAPEX, Logistics, some general services, along with Reduced Risk Products), ensuring that sourcing strategies are aligned with global objectives while being tailored to meet the unique requirements of local markets.

Reporting to the Cluster Procurement Manager North America and working closely with internal and external business stakeholders, together with your team, you will identify innovative solutions, cost optimization opportunities, and synergies across the countries within the cluster – USA and Canada, continuously striving for improved efficiency and stronger supplier relationships.

 

What Will You Do?

 

  • Drive implementation of cluster specific strategies and contribute to global strategy development
  • Develop supplier intelligence and optimize supplier pool
  • Lead the category team, supporting their development and growth for future opportunities
  • Ensure targets achievement, lead cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) with key regional/local suppliers in full coordination with the relevant internal stakeholder
  • Participate in financial planning, in close collaboration with Finance
  • Support procurement initiatives related to new product introduction activities and production capacity expansion or changes

  • Career background:   
  • Proven experience in procurement, ideally within FMCG or a similar industry
  • Experience in managing sourcing strategies and supplier relationships, both directly and in a supervisory capacity 

 

 

What else is required for the role

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business or related Finance /Business management /Supply Chain Management field
  • Business, financial and supplier contract acumen
  • Ability to work under limited supervision, exercise independent judgment and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong command of English language is essential. Knowledge of French is an advantage
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally a few times a year
