Location: Green Bay, WI
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Reports To: HR Business Partner

Requirements
Position Overview
The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting daily HR operations. This position requires a professional who can work independently and collaboratively, ensuring HR processes run smoothly while contributing to long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate is people-focused, highly organized, and knowledgeable in a variety of HR functions, especially recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding
- Coordinate hiring processes, including posting job ads, managing applications and candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks, drug tests, DOT certifications, and reference checks when applicable
- Facilitate new hire orientation and support the onboarding experience
- Maintain accurate HRIS records by updating employment status changes and ensuring data integrity
- Assist with training and development programs as needed
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely guidance on company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Stay up-to-date and ensure compliance with changes in labor legislation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to report to and work from the office location daily
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Products, and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, BambooHR)
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required
