General:
Site Safety Forman is responsible for overseeing and leading an 8-10 safety resource team to ensure the safety/ security of a 300,000 sq. ft. facility and the surrounding premises. The foreman schedules coverage for monitoring surveillance systems, responds to incidents, trains staff and employees on safety protocols, and maintains compliance w/ company policies and procedures. The position reports to the Health & Safety Manager w/ a primary day-based, work schedule- (Mon. – Fri.) with flexibility to work early/ late shift, overtime, and weekends, as needed.
Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
SAFETY OPERATIONS:
- Conduct routine and schedule regular patrols & facility inspections & surveillance (internal/external)
- Investigate & contact leadership / external resources- (incidents, suspicious activities, or emergencies)
STAFF MANAGEMENT:
- Create and manage the safety resource schedule / work assignments to maintain 24/7 coverage
- Share performance feedback / weigh in on corrective action
TRAINING / COMPLIANCE
- Ensure completion of required training (security, safety, compliance)
- Deliver on-going safety training to team and site employees & contractors
- Drive housekeeping and cleanliness standards throughout facility & grounds
EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
- Work w/ H&S Mgr. / site leadership in coordinating response to emergencies
- Administer first-aid, respond to safety events, coordinate w/ local authorities to mitigate risks
COMMUNICATION / COLLABORATION:
- Maintain open communication with management, reporting on safety issues & updates
- Provide documentation of observations, surveillance footage, and other relevant information
- Collaborate with other departments to address safety concerns / coordinate responses
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Skills/Abilities/Attributes:
- 3+ years site security experience at industrial / commercial business facility
- 2+ years of successful leadership; directing safety details w/ minimum supervision
- Helpful leader & team player; able to respectfully challenge and deescalate situations
- Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills; professionally represent the face-of-the-company
- Able to properly handle sensitivity/confidential information
- Min. basic computer skills & experience managing facility monitoring systems
Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered security officer (preferred / not required)
- First Aid Certified; CPR/BLS and self-defense (preferred / not required)
Experience:
- Min 3 years working knowledge and experience in security-related role
- Min. 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/lead position
- Experience with security equipment /surveillance systems
- Law enforcement-related experience (preferred/ not required)

Physical Requirements:
- Lift / move up to 40 lbs.; occasionally 50 lbs.
- Sit or stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, stoop for prolong periods
- Work indoor and outdoor environment in varying temperatures e.g., 30 - 100 degrees
